What is Aloha?
In the broadest of terms, Aloha is
the expression of our True Being, or Highest Self.
It is the unification of heart and mind.
The etymology of Aloha is:
ALO = presence / face
HA = breath of life.
Aloha allows us to connect with who we are within by seeing what needs to be seen,
hearing what hasn’t been said, and allowing others to be as they are.
<>
We are all in possession of the Spirit of Aloha. We are simply unaware of how deeply connected we are to the Universal Divine energy of Love.
When we begin by seeking to connect first, we are in possession of the Aloha Spirit, because who you present yourself to be, is exactly what is received by others.
Aloha is Spirit. Spirit is Energy.

Aloha is a way of life, a state of mind, an attitude. It is action and being.
When we speak of wholeness or being in harmony, we are speaking of Aloha.
<>
Within Aloha are the principles that help guide us, allowing for a deeper connection.
Those principles are:
Alaka’i-kindness, grace, consideration, tenderness. Strength of character.
To lead by example. To handle any situation with white gloves.
Lokahi-unbroken, in harmony, of one mind, connected. In the presence of…
Olu’ Olu-gentle strength, respect, honor, demonstrated through words and actions.
Ha’aha’a-humility. To be empty. Exhale… ha… Expressed through modesty. Openness.
Ahonui-patient perseverance. Poised – to wait for the moment. To observe.
We Live Aloha through the daily practice of Aloha.

“One cannot do one of the principles of Aloha without doing all of the principles,
and if you aren’t doing all, you aren’t doing any.”
Pono Shim, friend and mentor.
