Developing Momentum with Technology

Some days, technology feels like the enemy. I’ve invested in many tools—Google Workspace, Calendly, Media Monkey, AI, Kajabi—yet learning to use them all is exhausting.

I need these tools so I can develop and "ship" the work. There's just too much to learn, only so many hours to use, and I’m still looking for employment, and the winter cold it's my incubator. I've tried to schedule time for each task so I can stay focused, but some days, the calendar just doesn’t cooperate. Haha... the calendar does cooperate!

What I have realized is that drinking a cup of coffee and sitting in meditation first thing in the morning doesn’t work for me while I am looking for employment and developing a life coaching practice. I have to get moving or the day slips away. So, I've decided I'll start my day moving! I have hand weights that have been laying around at home; I can do a little yoga, or some stretching (without causing too much pain), before I have a cup of coffee with coconut creamer - yum. Then a little meditation, my daily Taping with Brad, and a page or two of journaling.

Moving first thing will give me the momentum to stay focused to successfully achieve the goals I set for the day (every night before I go to bed).

I know that flow doesn't just occur, but that it will eventually happen if I persist. Starting something new is always challenging. Starting many new things can get sticky (did I mention frustrating). What I'm attempting to create means having lots of failures, and that's okay. Because I know that each failure moves me closer to gaining confidence, achieving mastery, and making progress.

So the mantra is painful but simple: try, fail, try, fail, try, fail less, try, achieve. Tomorrow is another day.

And as they say in Hawai'i - Hele on!
