A phrase that signifies an unconscious, repetitive, and often harmful behavior. Something Britney came to understand later in her life.

How often do you tell yourself, “I’m not good enough”? How frequently do you hold back from pursuing something you truly desire—like applying for that job you instinctively know is a perfect match? How many times a day do fear or anxiety take over your body? Your heart races, your breathing becomes shallow, and perhaps your palms start to sweat.

I'm here to remind you of your inherent value and worth. These are truths that already exist within you.

I realize it might be hard to accept. So, for now, just read the following:

-            I AM compassionate

-            I AM courageous

-            I AM steadfast

-            I AM authentic

-            I AM qualified, and

-            I AM valuable

Read them again, and sit up straighter, breathe deeper, and smile.

Next, I encourage you to stand in front of a mirror (if you’re at your desk, use your phone or the reflection from your computer screen), and gently say to your reflection—with conviction:

-            I AM compassionate

-            I AM courageous

-            I AM steadfast

-            I AM authentic

-            I AM qualified, and

-            I AM valuable

Now, continue looking at your reflection for a few moments, repeating these affirmations. Remember to smile!!!!!

I AM represents your Highest Self, and your eyes are the gateways to that Self. But so are your ears!

Create your own I AM affirmations, and practice this exercise throughout the day or whenever you experience fear or anxiety. Mirror or no mirror. The only person who needs to hear you say this… is YOU!
